Here's the deal: I have a iPod touch 4G, never found time to update it to 4.2 so it's still 4.1. I have been having a lot of problems with the internet. I will go onto some wifi dependent app, ie: Cleverbot, and every so often it'll stop updating, even though it's still got the full three bars displaying connection. To get it to work, I have to go and turn on and off Wifi on the iPod. Would this be solved if I updated it to 4.2?

I updated to latest software, and it still doesn't work right.

Try restoring from backup and if it still doesn't work restore as a new device. It might be a problem with your router too.

I don't think it's the router. My Macbook's fine at the same time.

When their is a corrupted file/bug in the OS, you never restore from a Backup, because your not solving anything.

A clean install should solve any issues (if the issue is your iPod and not the router)
