iPod touch Ipod touch 4g jb with abstenthe 2.0 volume stuck

The volume says it moves but it stil clicks when you hit the lockscreen button. I am currently erasing the ipod to try again with the jb. google proved no help but I am wondering what caused this. Thanks

Sometimes jailbreaks go wrong. Just restore your iPod to a pre jailbreak backup (you should have one!) and re-jailbreak it. Or you might have downloaded a bad tweak or app from Cydia.

how do I erase it? see its a friends ipod so I cant restore it with my itunes. I can click erase in the settings-general-reset. but that just stays in a endless loop...
