My iPod touch 4th generation doesn't seem to be able to connect to 2.4GHz N-only networks. It tells me I can't join the network. I have reset network settings and everything, but still doesn't work. I have iOS 6.0.1

The Apple site has all the tech info on your iPod Touch and will tell you what networking it supports. If it is still jailbroken, I think that may be the cause of your networking issue.

What kind of router and configuration (e.g encryption) are you using for your network?

I sold my iPod touch, it's my sister's stock iPod. RT-N16 tomato, WPA2 Personal AES. I think 40MHz might've been the problem.
