ipod touch 4th gen upgrade or Verizon iphone ?

Seeking advice:

I have a 3rd gen ipod touch. With holiday specials coming up, I would like to upgrade to 4th gen ipod touch for better screen and larger capacity. Current 3rd gen ipod touch is workable.

However, I have an old cell phone and would switch promptly to iphone when
(as expected by many) a Verizon iphone is available this winter (2011). The desired screen and capacity could come with the phone.

Just wait. Your 3rd gen ipod touch is good enough to do almost everything.

There's no proof Verizon will get an iPhone. Apple may be making CDMA phones, but that doesn't necessarily mean Verizon; it could be for china or some other country.
