I bought an ipod touch today and I plan to use it as a phone with voip. I expected this to be an ok if overpriced device. In truth, it is awesome, and a decent value at 299 with 32g memory. It is very fast and has an amazing retina display. You Tube documentation of the camera and video shows it to be pretty good, although not quite at iphone 5 level. But iphone 5 is $400 dollors more.
WIth its phone like form factor and mini tablet price--its easy to disregard the ipod touch. Its a niche product, but a good one none the less
