Amazon doesn't charge sales tax yet. However they are among the last to stock new Apple devices so count on a long wait. I have better luck with BestBuy who often have stock on release day. They do charge tax but you get it back in Reward Zone credit. My local BB's say they won't have stock until the 21'st which is a bummer.

Speak for yourself homie. Those of us in Texas and California now pay tax on Amazon, along with a few other states.
At the moment Amazon is showing 9 yellow 32gb in stock. Pink 32gb says 2-4 weeks. All others say preorder.
I have Amazon Prime and get 2 day shipping. I preordered on Sept 19, perhaps that's why it was shipped.
I was in the Belfast store yesterday and nothing.
No idea why we are last to get these. I assumed it would be an global (well almost global) release like the iPhone

I pre-ordered the iPT5 from Amazon.com on September 17th and just now got email confirmation that it has shipped. Estimated delivery is October 18th.
Best Buy is beginning to get some stock. I picked up a Black/Slate tonight 32GB only. They didn't have any other colors yet, but said they were expecting more during the week.
Same, I didn't feel like waiting for the other colors to get into stock.

I preordered the IPT5 from Amazon for my kids back in early Oct. I got a pink one and 2 blue ones. I got notification that the pink one shipped today for arrival on the 18th
What size are they in terms of GB? I picked up a black 32gb yesterday at Best Buy, but I really don't like the black. My iPhone 5 is white/silver. I did a lot of YouTube reviews and decided I wanted the blue. Last night I found out that Amazon had the 64gb blue in stock so I ordered one of those. Soon as I get it I will be returning the black one.
That black one is fingerprint city!

Pink 32 gb IPT arrived from amazon this morning. Still have no updates on the two blue 32gb I ordered at the same time. Hopefully they get some of the blues in stock soon and I at least get an update.

My 64gb blue (which they still have in stock) arrived yesterday with my free 2 days shipping on (Prime). Man I love this blue color with the white face... it is just so much better for me than the black. That black just looked totally stealth and I could quickly see the fingerprints and finding it in low light environments was going to be a problem. The Blue/White hardly shows finger prints at all.
Hopefully your Blue 32's ship soon!
