Just picked up an iPod touch (7th gen) the other day and have been using it at work to play music over a Bluetooth speaker. Today it was on my desk, and when I pushed a file over I ended up knocking the iPod off my desk and onto the floor...a drop of about 3 1/2 feet to a carpeted floor.
To my surprise, when I picked it up, the screen was dark and the device won't power on. Tried to reset it (home button + power button), plugging it in, etc.
Just a rant, I guess. I will schedule an appointment to take it in to an Apple store....just can't believe sliding a few feet from my desk to a carpeted floor would brick the device. Ugh.
