iPod touch Ipod Touch and Iphone 3G?

I have an ipod touch but no phone 🙁

Sould I wait for the release of an iphone better than the iphone 3G or should

I just get a normal phone for my birthday?

What do you think? And I don't mind being phoneless for a while...

A new iPhone is not coming out for a long time so I would get the iPhone 3G.

3G litteraly just came out. you would be an idiot to wait a year or more for an even newer iphone and then u would be phoneless for a year.
and "old iphone" are the non 3G ones, I wouldn't be calling 3G iphones "old" at all.
