iPod touch Ipod touch and power supply

does the Ipod touch charge using the older usb power wall adapter? I want to get one or can you use any generic one you find on ebay? $30 seems a little crazy.

also apparently apple has added a new chip to the usb cord but can you use an old school dock w/ this new cable?

My touch charges perfectly with the charger supplied with my 4th gen iPod Photo.

I still have my firewire wall adapter from my gen2 iPod and it charges my touch perfectly fine 😀

No reason why it shouldn't work, cable / port are exactly the same as older ipods

Yup, I was quite happy to see that my Firewire cabling still worked at charging my new Touch. Saves me another $30-$40 to get an extra adapter!

I still have my firewire wall adapter from my gen2 iPod and it charges my touch perfectly fine 😀
