Hey All!

quick question:

where are the iPod Touch Back-Ups (done w/ itunes) located??

coz, my iPod Touch got stolen (way back ago, in february)... but I remember that I backed it up earlier during the day... and in the preferences pane in iTunes it says so, but how can I reach the actual files??
and is there a way to recover my notes??

Thanks a LOT!😉

P.S. I'm on Leopard, and it was an iPod Touch 1st Gen.

Unfortunately the notes are not backed up in the current version of iTunes. There's some indication that the 3.0 iPod software will do backups for notes.

just use google. i know where they are on windows but i have no clue about a mac. and they do have backup extractors so you can extractor certain elements from the backup to you're desktop.

I think some stuff is saved in:

~/Library/Application Support/MobileSync/Backup

-Kevin

Thank you so much! i found them!

but just one more question: now what?
I've been through some of them, and its mostly unreadable, but I noticed that some are for App games' scores, one particularly large one is for my address book.... but how am i gonna find the 'Notes' one... there are about 2800 files! 🙁

Well that's the thing, I'm going to get an iPhone 3G S.... so definitely its not gonna work w/ it....

Actually, it should. I've swapped back and forth between a Touch and a 3G several times, each time restoring from the last saved backup with no problem. I don't see why it should be different for the 3Gs.

Oh Really?!?! that awesome news for me!! yayyy!! thanks a lot!!

P.S. if i restore the 3G S from the ipod touch wouldnt become buggy? hopefully not!
