Hi.. a have a problem with my ipod touch 1st gen., maybe you can help me.

i have an ipod touch 1st gen with firmware 3.0 and jailbreak.. ad the problem i have is that when i connect it to charge.. it start charging but it stop at 65%.. it doesnt full charge... the icon battery with the green color that show the charge, only reach a little more than half.. and the little icon on the right corner of the top.

if i disconnect it and connect it again.. it start charging but stop again..

it mean that the battery is dead? or maybe is a problem with the firmware..

i will like to hear from you.. thanks.

note: i have tried in 3 differents computers and is the same.

I would try restoring your iPod's firmware to at least a non-Jailbreaked (Jailbroken?) firmware, perhaps even an earlier version, to see what happens. Restoring your firmware can sometimes help; you can probably try Jailbreaking again if it works after restoring and you want to try again.

In a similar discussion on another forum (although related to 2.0, not 3.0), someone recommended what appears to be reinstalling Bonjour. I really doubt that this would help, but perhaps it's not what it appears to be.
Try this : find the itunessetup.exe file. Rename it to itunessetup.zip. Unzip it and find the bonjour.msi. Double click that and install it.
Again, I don't think that would have anything to do with it (and nobody ever responded saying if it did or didn't work), but I suppose it's worth a shot.

And if nothing works and it's still under warranty (and it's not Jailbreak-ed), you can take it to Apple. Good luck!

Change the battery, that's what i did on my iphone 2g.
You can one and a kit for it on amazon cheap, and watch a tutorial video on youtube.
