I'm a web developer making my first honest attempt at freelancing for a living (extremely easy considering I live with mom and dad still). A part of this attempt is me having access to email/calendar when and wherever I am within my house and occasionally when I'm out and about the town. The perfect answer would be iPhone, but I'm not switching from Verizon and I couldn't afford the ghastly overpriced data plans.

If I'm not home I'm usually somewhere that has wireless interwebs, so being limited to that isn't too, too bad.

Now according to the Buyer's Guide here I should hold off to September on buying a new ipod touch since gen 4 should be coming out around then. So I'm probably going to be doing that.

ANYWAY! my question is what kind of apps are there that would be beneficial to me as an emerging freelancer? I primarily use gmail and google calendar...are there apps for those? Are there punchclock apps where I can keep track of my time working...invoice management? banking apps? etc.

I guess I've already decided to buy one...I just want to get excited and further justify my future purchase to myself

Thanks in advance!

iTunes app store

You can get a load of free apps like google mail, G calendar, G clouds, G docs aso for the ipod. You can also get many free apps for writing and posting different kind of stuff on the fly.
Have a look at iTunes app store and check out the apps, the free and the paid
