Now i'm not certain of this but I'm pretty sure Apple has left atleast 1 icon out and they will release it when the iPod touch comes out. I was looking through the iPod touch manual ( http://manuals.info.apple.com/en/iPod_touch_Features_Guide.pdf ) and i came across a screenshot of watching a youtube video. It has the "share video" icon when watching it......what do you reckon?

Apple has to keep the feature set down in the touch to avoid cannibalizing iPhone sales. I'm sure the hackers will find a way to give it all the functionality Apple didn't.

Nah... I don't think the touch has mail. The only chance is that it is a secret feature, but either way I am going to hack it on there 😀

I reckon you win first prize in the observation stakes. How many thousands of people looked at that image, but were looking at the bluetooth icon (now removed) and completely missed the even bigger mail icon!

PC Magazine put out a review of the ipod touch, and they got to play with one and only mentioned the icons shown in all of the pictures, so no email or secret features.

Hmmmm....

Jesus, what did Apple do? copy and paste the iPhone information??

In some senses it does seem that way, you know.

In that manual, there's mentions of notes, editing contacts AND editing events...

Personally, a big part of me feels that notes is 'the missing app', but then the other part of me jumps up and goes "But if there IS a missing app, you'd think it would be something big, and announcing notes at launch time wouldn't be a very big 'wow' .... only mail/iChat/games would do that.

What do you all think?
