in apples site in the features page the homebutton feature shows iPod touch showing an SMS in the spotlight search. you think it will have SMS or apple messed up again

On one of the images, it also shows a Phone icon on the home screen. Apple's not too good at Photoshop.

There are at least 2 threads about the same thing. And they didn't say "screen images simulated" in the fine print so I guess I can sue them

Ohh bit of a mistake by apple there. Would be cool to have a service like that though but it would so be an almost iPhone then.

There's no Google Voice in the App Store. Maybe the Phone icon is for FaceTime? :p

yeah, google voice. You can have google voice route to skype which will now stay open in the bg. Also you can have google voice send your texts to email which get pushed to the ipod. It's what I do...

If you install Verysms, your Touch can SMS to anywhere in the world. You can set the number of your real mobile phone as the outgoing address. While the app is free, the outgoing messages are not.

I believe that there are a couple of other apps that do the same thing.

Verysms sounds good, but I'd imagine it to be of limited utility since replies will go to your phone... :D
