Alright, the text based instructions are here:
    http://forums.macrumors.com/showthread.php?t=367307
DO NOT JUST FOLLOW MY PICTURES. FOLLOW THE GUIDE AND FOLLOW MY PICTURES FOR REFERENCE.

Thanks to that thread for this thread!

    Step 1: Exploiting Safari
    [IMG]
    Open Safari.

    Go to the website.

Safari Crashes. Welcome to the hack.

    Get the necessary programs....

Remember what ROOT is! It's Macintosh HD!

Make sure iphuc is in the appropriate location (the Desktop).

Load iPhuc using the requested commands on the link above. Everything should be smooth as silk thusfar. (when they say ./iphuc, they're serious.)

    Commands are in....

And scrolly text! This will take about 15 minutes. Pop popcorn.

Back on your desktop is this folder called iphonefs. Yes, open it.

Change the filename to .DMG. You're doing good.

Open up the DMG and access it from your desktop.

    Open up the etc folder.

    [IMG][IMG][IMG]
And drag fstab from your desktop to etc.

    [IMG][IMG][IMG]
Follow the instructions to send the filesystem back to the iPod...

    More below.

Cool. This might be almost as good as a video..and no worries about focusing!

Tried my best to focus... I didn't want to use a reflective annoying flash and didn't have something to hold the camera other than my hand. :)

    [IMG][IMG][IMG][IMG]
Now we're starting Part 3, Installing SSH. RESTART YOUR iPOD FIRST. Push the button on the top and wait 5 seconds, then scroll to power down. This is really easy.

    [IMG][IMG][IMG][IMG]
Continue following the onscreen instructions until it's happy with you. Remember to restart it after this whole process is complete.

    [IMG][IMG]
Get your IP address of your iPod from your Settings > Wifi > Button next to your current active one...

    [IMG][IMG][IMG]
And follow the instructions on it. Remember, the password is "alpine".

    [IMG][IMG]
So now we open Cyberduck and put in the above information.

If it all goes right...this happens.

So we get to rename stuff.

    And then we restart.

So now we get to test and make sure we did everything right so far by making sure we can still sync to our iPod okay. Remember, everything above IS case sensitive.

Was that a "HORRAY! I DIDN'T BREAK MY TOUCH YET!"? Good to hear. Lets get down and dirty now. Download installer.app and push Refresh on Cyberduck so it reconnects.

    [IMG][IMG][IMG]
Drag installer to the shown location. This may take a moment.

    [IMG][IMG][IMG]
Two commands later in Terminal and....SHAZAM! But we're not done yet.

    [IMG][IMG]
Push CTRL+C to kill the current terminal command and Installer.App will fly away, but just for the moment.

    [IMG][IMG]
Shoot on over to the website in the first thumbnail here and you'll get a dialogue box. Choose yes.

Run the command again...find Trip1PogoStick on the list on the touch, push Install, install the package, slide to power off, turn it back on, and NOW you're done!

    Congrats!

After you get installer.app on, you're golden. Just use installer.app to find and install applications, all natively, no computer required.

Steps with visual are really helpful especially for those who will jailbreak their touch for the first time.

    Thanks Shane!

Renaming on CyberDuck is really easy. Just right click it, choose rename, change the name, push enter and wait a moment. If it doesn't change after 5 seconds, push refresh.

Just a suggestion, when taking screen shots for a tutorial, try cmd+shift+4 and select the area you want captured, really cleans up the look and makes it more obvious what you're trying to show. I don't mean to criticize, as I appreciate the visual addition, and it helps out a lot of users, its just an easy way to improve the look it.

i got past my previous problem but now when i am trying to finalize installer.app when i try to do this

    from dev team
    25. Back in the terminal, SSH into your iPod Touch again (if you're not already), give the comand chmod -Rf +x /Applications/ and hit return.

    26. Slide to unlock your iPod Touch then type /Applications/Installer.app/Installer and hit return to launch Installer.

    27. After AppTapp opens, press control+c to close it

terminal says no such command for all the things it says to enter.

    I put in chmod -Rf +x /Applications/
    Then, /Applications/Installer.app/Installer

    But then it tells me,
-bash: /Applications/Installer.app/Installer: No such file or directory
