Okay. I want to put jailbreak on my iPod but if I do do I void my warranty.
If this is a "should I?" thread, the answer is yes. You can undo the jailbreak, and they will never know.
I'm sorry, the first time I read this, I didn't notice the second "do".
Yes, you technically void your warranty, but (I don't know this first hand) like the poster above me said they will never know. So your warranty should be fine.
So you should do it
Just do it. Even if you return it jailbroken to a place like Best buy, I doubt they would care.
okay, so I can only put jailbreak on my iPod from mac right??? If so does anyone know where I can get an 'official' one?
That would be great
There are versions for PC and Mac. There is an abundance of options all on this forum. iJailbreak, this other one , jailbreakme.com, 1.1.2 Jailbreak Tutorial, Touch Free, etc.
There is no official jailbreak process. But there is an easy way to get it jailbroken. -> Link
Edit: Beaten to it.
could do with sticky posts for guides for jailbreaking then people dont have to keep asking and god forbid actually use the search
does anyone know for sure if bestbuy will take a jailbroken iphone
I work at best buy... um they will try and turn on the iPod....ask you whats wrong with it, put a big sticker on it and return it to apple. Now if apple happens to notice and tells best buy, best buy will probably contact you and make you pay for a new one.
BUT chances are they will never find out because im sure apple just uses returned ipods for parts.
if worst comes to worst...undo the jailbreak before returning it and they wont know
make a new thread next time. don't resurrect threads that are a year old.
