iPod touch iPod touch January Upgrade backup?

Hi,

I can't find a clear answer on this issue, but if I backup the "iPod touch App Pack 4A93.ipa" file located in ~/Library/iTunes/Mobile Applications to my external disk and copy it back on my new iMac in the same location and log in with my iTunes account I've purchased it with, will it sync the apps back to my iPod touch 8GB?

yes it will. But your iTunes account knows if you have purchased it or not...
