S swwack91 macrumors 6502a Sep 8, 2007 #6 the speed of the storage, no matter flash or HDD, is fast enough to handle anything that you can throw at it because of the USB interface. both the HDD and flash iPods could all move faster if they'd put Firewire 800 on them.

They could move files faster, but they couldn't move themselves off the shelves faster... mainly because not many computers have FW800 (or it's not common enough to move your best selling product to)
