hey i completely forgot my ipod passcode lock. its not jailbroken so i dont think i can ssh can i? and if so what would i do? just bottom line how can i disable the passcode lock?? also, when i plug it into itunes, it says it can not sync because of the passcode and therefore i can not restore because the ipod doesnt pop up under "devices".

Turn your iPod off, Press and hold the Sleep & Home buttons for exactly 10 seconds. Then let go of the sleep button.

It should register in iTunes as an iPod in Discovery mode and needs to be restored

Done!

I used to work in an apple service centre and you would not believe how many people forget their passcodes..... seriously lol

Like PhelpsiPhan said, the DFU mode will be the answer for your case.
