I find it interesting that Apple seems to be really promoting iPhones as opposed to iPods these days.

For example, during the SDK presentation, Jobs and company almost exclusively applied all new information to the iPhone. Apple.com now has SDK information on the homepage, and it only mentions the iPhone. I see many more iPhone commercials, and tech blogs seem to discuss the iPhone with little mention of the Touch.

What's also interesting to me is that all of these updates and new features have little or nothing to do with the real distinguishing functions of the iPhone. And, I think the appeal of the iPhone is limited (in the US at least) to those who are AT&T customers. The Touch, however, has no contract strings attached.

Of course, I could be totally off based. What are other people's thoughts?

The iPhone is more recognised. The iPod Touch will get these updates too though.

the sdk was mainly for enterprise and large companies are going to be using iphones, not ipod touches.
