I would like to use my old 3G iPod power adaptor with my iPod touch. The output is rated at 12 volts. Can someone with an adaptor made for the touch check the rated output? It should be the same, but I don't want to plug it in and discover otherwise!

Also, the 3G power adaptor has a Firewire connector, but I don't see any reason why I can't use the Firewire cable which came with the 3G to charge the touch.

Excellent, thanks. I deserve to be lectured about not searching for the answer first. 😉
