Is there any chance of prices dropping on the new 2nd generation iPod Touch (MB533LL/A) between now and Christmas? I need to buy a couple and don't want what usually happens to me to happen again 🙂
Circuit City (if you happen to have one in your part of the world) has a sale going on right now. Just bought a 32GB 2G iPod Touch for $365 on sale. The special only lasts until 12/1/08, however.
Its a pretty good possibility, I believe Apple's hold on prices has decreased in recent years. Even if there aren't price decreases, there is likely to be offers of free accessories or iTunes gift cards.

The only thing we can hope for is a price drop when (if) a 64GB model is released/announced at MacWorld.
If it is only announced the it will probably be released in February.
You can get the 2G (8GB) for $218.49 from Best Buy online right now, or you could pay $179 for a refurb 1G (8GB) on Apple's site. Just a word to the wise: Apple products never come "cheap."
Signed up for a Target credit card and got the iPod touch 32GB for 10% off. (Also got the 3-year warranty for 10% off the normal $30.) Will pay it off and cancel the card.
