iPod touch iPod touch requires ridiculous attention

It happens every month. My iPod touch decides to get rid of all of my music and videos, at least once a month. It's not a fun feeling, getting in bed, connecting the ipod to a dock, and then seeing the lovely "No Content" sign.

Anyone else having problems like this?

P.S: My apps are always fine, but not my music/videos. Go figure.
