iPod touch iPod Touch screen replaced, still no backlight

The backlight on my iPod Touch (1st Gen, 16 GB) went out after it got wet. I put in in rice, let it dry out, and everything else works perfectly fine. iTunes finds it, I can play movies, songs, wireless works, just no backlight. I replaced the LCD screen TWICE, because I thought maybe the first replacement screen was defective. Any suggestions?

And yes, I did try to turn on the iPod when it was wet, shame on me

im pretty sure all the components are combined with the screen... your best bet is to just order a new screen :/

Like I said, I already replaced the whole screen. Twice. Backlight doesn't work and I can't figure out why. Everything else works!

Maybe the connectors IN the touch have gotten water damage.. thats why even if you replace it power doesnt get to it
