The backlight on my iPod Touch (1st Gen, 16 GB) went out after it got wet. I put in in rice, let it dry out, and everything else works perfectly fine. iTunes finds it, I can play movies, songs, wireless works, just no backlight. I replaced the LCD screen TWICE, because I thought maybe the first replacement screen was defective. Any suggestions?

And yes, I did try to turn on the iPod when it was wet, shame on me 😱

Like I said, I already replaced the whole screen. Twice. Backlight doesn't work and I can't figure out why. Everything else works!

Maybe the connectors IN the touch have gotten water damage.. thats why even if you replace it power doesnt get to it 😕
