Ok so my 2G touch has recently stopped awakening from sleep if I press the top button. Nothing turns on the screen, I have to plug it in for the screen to go on, and then it works fine, until I put it back to sleep. Also, the battery only lasts for 2 hours with everything turned to the lowerst.

In the past, all apple has done is restored it and then given it back to me (the genius at the genius bar is always the same.) This does not solve the problem. How can I get them to replace it? I don't like having to restore it every 3 days. It gets very cumbersome and annoying.

Well, any thoughts on what could be wrong?

They aren't replacing it even with the sleep button issue?

Well I got it to work now, by restoring it, but that wiped everything. Whenever I would restore from a backup it would have the same error, so it was a software error. I am really sick of having to restore it...I wish the OS was less buggy, but at least it works most of the time.
