Alright so here's how it goes.

I was playing baseball slugger, like last night at around 1 30 AM EST.
and I left it charging after I used it, i swear everything was plugged in.
before i left the room I saw the light come on, i even turned the brightness up.

and today I woke up, then around noon i took the ipod. I tried waking it up from sleep, nothing happens.

what's wrong??

and whenever I tried charging it through my macbook, it doesn't show up

I tried charging through the wall charger nothing comes up

anyone knows what happened here?

if what the guy above me said does not work still try going out side or under bright light and see if you can see the screen really dimly, if so then the backlight died.

This happened on my touch right after upgrading to 3.0 and jmann's description worked for me.

I really don't know what happened to it...
it just sucks to be me, why is it that the coolest iPod i ever own dies on me...

this is seriously weird i don't know what happened.
