iPod touch iPod touch taking 13+ hours to back up?!?!

Ahh! i just got a new macbook and switched my ipod touch from my Dell to it. when i try to upgrade it to the 2.2 firmware, it forces me to back it up, which is not that bad cuase i need it backed up on my macbook... the only problem is...

it has taken 13 hours so far and im not even halfway!!!! 😱
