I'm excited to hear that someone bought an ipod (touch) from a best buy because I don't have an Apple Store within 500 miles.
Personally, I'm going to wait (and it might be hard if the nearby Best Buy gets them in) and buy it at Costco because they have a very liberal return policy. 90 days, no questions asked (they used to have unlimited, and I know someone who returned their malfuntioning 5.0 g ipod and recieved a 5.5g ipod Plus $50 because the price was lower!)
Then, if it turns out the video is really sub-par, the audio hiss is horrible, and if over the course of 3 months the deviced isn't hacked into a full-fledged mini computer (ok, I'd be more than happy with iphone functionality, but I'd love a word processor) I'll be able to return it without a restocking fee and consider a hacked iphone, maybe one on clearance after macworld 2008.
P.S. I also saw a nano the other day and wow, it is hard to call it fat because it's so thin. In face, has anyone tried sticking it their wallet (or similar item) because if it isn't there yet, it's close. Especially if they come out with a version in the future that is just the size of the current screen and has multi-touch, then you've got a video ipod not only in your pocket, but in your wallet, and wouldn't Steve love to show us that in a keynote!
