Eff it I'm going to bed. Doesn't seem worth it to get out of bed for a useless update.

Works ok on my 1st gen touch.

The graphics are neat when you star downloading a podcast hit yes and the podcast jumps down from the list to the downlod section of the itunes store and grays out in the main list

Installing now!! WOOW the ipod has a new progress bar when installing , right under the apple logo!!!! took a foto but don't know how to upload it..

So this is actually my first time updating the software on an Apple Product (iPod Touch 2G 16 gig being my first apple product) and it is taking forever.....

did not know it'd take this long, i should have waited till tomorrow

Google Street View

Does the iPod Touch offer the street view? I've been messing around with Google Maps and I can't get the street view to work. I've looked what people have had to say under the iPhone forums but none of that seems to work...

I caved and got up to update but it's taking forever to update iTunes . I guess I'll just do it in 4 hours before I goto school.

I didn't see anything about street view in the release notes, unfortunately.

I have a first Gen Touch, and no street view, sucks, but the podcast ability is the main feature I wanted anyway.

i cant believe they didnt put street view in the ipod touch update...

Safari seems to be more stable. I can now visit Wired's top stories without it crashing all the time.

For anyone with 2.2 on their touch. I am just wondering instead of downloading can you just stream it. You know how in itunes store, you hit the play button and it will play just 30 seconds. I am wondering if it gives you that play button and it will play the whole podcast. That be awesome to stream and save some space.
