We know that the calendar app had Tuesday 9th on it, the date of the 'Lets Rock' event.

But on the demo pages of the iPod touches calculator app, the calculator always reads

1218.08

18th December 2008?

Another hint from apple?

Or me needing to get a life? :D

They won't update it a week before Christmas, as a lot of people will have already bought their gifts before then. The entire iPod line was refreshed in September, so I don't see anything happening for the rest of this year (and if anything the only thing that may happen next year is a storage bump, like with the 32GB touch back at the start of this year).

Plus that date format (MM/DD/YYYY) isn't even used worldwide; a lot of places, including here, put the date before the month, so, if it were indeed some reference (though I'm pretty confident in saying it's not) it'd be lost on a lot of people outside of the US.

Maybe they'll time travel to January 2, 1808 or August of 1218? The possibilities are nearly endless! ;)
