I have an iPod Touch, but I think the problem has something to do with iTunes.

Anyway... I left my iPod Touch connected to my Powerbook last night to let it fully charge, the computer was doing Handbrake stuff... at sometime it must have finished and fell asleep.

When I woke the computer up this morning, and opened iTunes it said some error about an iPhone (which I don't have) - I didn't pay much attention to it and closed it off.

unattached my iPod and went to listen to music, but the Music library was empty... I checked the Video library it was also empty... but my photos were still on the iPod.

So I connected it back to iTunes and to got this message:

I clicked OK and went to do the restore to find the summary page like is:

and then this message when I clicked restore:

Any idea how I can get this fixed?

Thanks for any help, much appreciated.
