    Hi folks,

I have searched for the answer to this and didn't find it here, so please forgive me if I missed it.

I have an iMac G5 and a powerbook G4 both running 10.4.11, an iPod Touch running 2.0.2 and a MobileMe account. The faux pushing works perfectly for everything between both macs and mobilme. The Touch works perfectly with email. I can't get it to push calendars or contacts for anything. I have reset, restored, tried manual fetch, everything. I have been through 5 or 6 tech support people including a mobileme specialist. He was able to get my info to sync to a borrowed iPhone, but he has no access to a touch. He suggested going to a genius bar to see if a different ipod will do it. I have an appointment, but I thought I'd ask here because I can't be the only one!

    Thanks,

    Scot

    saturday

If I get any satisfaction at the genius bar Saturday, I will post it.

Since the MobileMe specialist was able to get my contacts to an iPhone, I'm thinking it might have to do with the wifi network? Thing is, everything else works fine with my network. Oh well.

The "genius" bar didn't help, but now it works!

The mobileme specialist had reset/replaced all my data which he said could only be done with 10.5, which I don't have, so he did it. After he did so, he restored the information and was able to sync to an iphone. (iPhones sync information in a different manner than a Touch does.) I was going to ask him to reset mobileme again, but this time let me restore the information from my iMac. I went to the page that says how to do it (http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1497) and saw that it had instructions for 10.4, so I did it myself. Didn't work.
Then I started going through the steps-again!-on this page: http://support.apple.com/kb/TS1672. No luck until I got to the "delete your account and reset it up" part. As I was doing it, I thought I would check the accounts page of MobileMe to make sure the capitalization of the account name matched. Well, it didn't! I set up the account in my ipod matching the capitalization on mobileme, and it worked! I could finally sync calendars and contacts!
I can only figure that resetting the data on mobileme solved the problem-whether he did it or I did it-and when he put my data back/re-setup my account, he changed the capitalization of my account name which then became the obstacle to my syncing my touch.
Bottom line-I think-make sure your computer has the correct info and reset your data on mobileme by overriding it with your computer's data and make sure the account names match. (although whether you do @me.com or @mac.com makes no difference-only your account name). If you have 10.4 and resetting doesn't work, get it done with 10.5, either on a friend's computer or through a mobileme specialist.
Let me know if it works!
