Hi All,

I noticed recently that my ipod touch is not using location services properly (it does not update my location and shows that I am at "home" even when I am at work miles away or at any other location).

I went in to Settings > General > Location Services and toggled the on/off switch to no avail.

I also went in to the Maps app to try and refresh my location but I get the message: "Your location could not be determined"

I am using an iPod Touch (1st gen I believe)
Version 3.1.3 (7E18)

Any help is most appreciated

No, I live in downtown Chicago - my ipod touch apps have always updated their location whether I was at home, work, or a friend's house. It has NOT been updating the last few days...

Are you connecting to a wifi network?

Yes I am. Again, I've always used a wi-fi connection whether it be at home, at work, or at someone else's house... no problems until about a day or two ago that I noticed this

Also - I just hopped on my iPAD and the location services are not working on that either? It shows I'm 5,000 miles away from where I am? Can't get a proper location --- is this a bug that has yet to be addressed???

Only 3G devices(iPhone & iPad 3G) have real GPS chips.
iTouces & wifi-only pads work with pseudo location services based on wifi.

It just doesn't make sense to me. All this time it was working fine (via Wi-Fi) but now the Ipod touch can't update location? There has to be a solution... ?!

(Btw, the ipad started working properly last night)
