dammit. i just got back. the nice lady said that they have them in stock but they dont sell them till tomorrow, and the phone lady made a mistake and also told 5 other people the same thing.

Exactly why I prefer BB if I have a choice, except for those things that that for some reason they charge over retail for (like Airport Express).

One of the 300 stores that Apple so kindly built because it loves its customers so much may just slip and sell a couple. Honestly, I don't think the iPods are like the iPhones in that they'll sell out immediately. The preorders didn't sell out and I doubt anyone's going to line up overnight. You'll get one, no worries.

LOL, I hear ya! Gives us a week to play with the new iPods before school starts. xD
Just got back from BestBuy (Roanoke, VA) They have the shuffles in stock, they are getting the Touchs tomorrow and they were not sure about the Nanos.
I saw some unboxing vids for shuffles on youtube. It's a bit surprising that they didn't ship them all together.
That is funny I just called Roseville's apple store also without reading your post and they told me yes you can buy them now and no they don't have any on display. Unfortunately I ordered mine through Amazon so I have to wait. But yes they said you can buy them now.
