iPod iPod Touch's WiFi has died. How long until the next model is released?

I could buy a replacement Touch now, but I understand the next gen will prolly have retina and a better camera. I can use the failing iPod for a while, but when do new iPod Touches get introduced?

The current 4th generation has a retina screen. The 5th will likely not be out until September or October.
