iPod iPod Video Screen's Dark Patches

I may be getting pretty anal, but this has really started to bug me, i bought my ipod video in november 2006, and since purchase, it's had 3 or so finger sized dark patches on the screen which are really recognisable lately.

Would apple even consider replacing the screen/ipod for this, especially with the time passed and accusations of it being my fault? it's still well within warranty...

It's worth a try... Maybe post a photo or two for us to get a better idea of what you're talking about. 🙂
