Sunday morning my 5G 80gb black ipod stopped working. The hard drive was making a clicking sound and the sad ipod icon appeared. Arranged the item to be sent back to apple for repair through normal waranty.

UPS delivered a cardboard box for return to apple and by thusday apple had diagnosed the fault and as of today a new replacement has been shipped (Which I think is fantastic turn around).

Question: What will apple send me? Will it be a refurb same generation ipod or could it be one of the new 80gb ipods??

Any ideas??

exactly the same one you had, probably a refurb or could be a brand new one of it. no upgrade for it unless you put in extra cash
