Hi everyone, So the click wheel was getting stuck on my iPod mini today. I took it in to the Apple store to get it fixed, but I was told my warrantee had been voided, as there was visible damage to the iPod (I had unfortunately dropped it out of my cargo pants pocket shortly after I got it, causing a small dent in the corner - I've got issues with the mini's durability, but that's another point). The damage is nowhere near the wheel, and they won't fix it, which sucks -- I know it's b/c they just can't swap something out & sell it as refurb, but they should be able to test it and try to find the source of the damage that causes it not to work. I can kind of understand their point, but when a 1 foot drop causes the little piece of plastic on the bottom to pop off, you have to be a little more lenient with the "visual damage" clause. I've dropped my 1G down a flight of stairs, and it still works perfectly (albeit with much less battery life these days).
