So on saturday I came home from my indoor track meet. Then my mom doing a favor put all my stuff in the wash. Well this morning my dad found it in the lint catcher. They just gave it to me at dinner, so I pluged it in and now the screen is flashing and it sounds like its crackling inside. At least they are going to pay me back for it, but I feel bad because money isn't exactly fallin off trees.

Pictures coming soon.

if your just going to scrap that one and get a new one, you might as well open it, and thoroughly dry it with warm air and then reassemble it. it might only be that there is still water on the inside thats causing it to not function properly. hey, its worth a shot if you were just going to scrap it. and if not, sell it for parts, the flash unit may still be worth something.

I second this, do not try to turn it on again, just let it sit for a while and it will dry out, then try turning it on.

Anyone jumped in a pool with a cellphone in their pocket? Anyone?? Oh...

Did you let the magic smoke out? if not, you might be able to save it when you dry it out... either way we wan't to see some pictures. :D

Wow dude that really sucks. You should take it apart and see if it can be dried further, if its completely dead take it apart Or put it back together, go to a public place and slam the ipod on the ground while cursing profusely Just to get the reactions on peoples faces.:D

Oh wow I think I may have to do that! I remember i was just dropping my older iPod (long story, but it made sense) and 1/2 my class turned around and they looked like someone just died.:D

Mr_Brightside_ I ran the 1600 and 800, but i also do the 3200 (2 mile)

PS: I guessing this voids my warranty?

I ran the 800 and the 400. Also, just as a chance, you might be able to let it dry out for a bit without disassembling it, and bring it in to an apple store and just play dumb, like you don't know what happened. maybe you try that, if that doesnt work, then take it apart yourself and try to dry it out further/sell it for parts.

Damn those iPod Nano's and their... tininess. If it wasn't so light perhaps your mom would've noticed it before it was sent to its death. :D
