Re: Why change the iPod, when you can have two products?

Have an MP3 player called the iPod, and a Powerful other thing called the PowerPod. It would fit perfectly with the current product sceme.

Cool! I guess it solves the battery drain problem. Wonder how many songs it holds? :D

You know you're in love with Apple when solar powered generators named the powerpod start looking like iMacs....

I'll take 3!!

It won't be FW800 for a little while longer.
I want new updates really soon and i mean really really soon.

17 inch iMacs dont have FW800... only the 17inch PB and the new powermacs. which is a prime reasone that the new ipods will not have ieee1394b.

a 40gb does seem reasonable. as everyone neglects to mention/remember the ipod is not JUST an mp3 player, its a portable hard drive, it stores other files as well. you will probably see fw800 in the new updated ipods in about a year with color screen and what ever else apple descides to add (bluetooth, touchscreens, or whatever).

Hmm...I wonder if there will be a major update at MWNY, what it will be. Color screen? Touchscreen?

Indeed.

$50 price cut on the 10 and 20 that they sell today could prolly help them a bit.

I'm personally waiting for a new 15" powerbook... but thought of waiting until april or later...makes me cringe...a bit.

15"?! How about delivering the 17" PBooks!

People are waiting for new 15" Powerbooks to appear? I just ordered my 17" Powerbook, and according to my order summary, it'll get delivered on or before 4/8/2003. OUCH! :( That's a crock that they were announced in the beginning of January, and it'll be till late March/early April until they're shipped. This kind of reminds me of the original XServe announcement.
