I'm running the latest software on my iPhone XS but when I go to use the Apple TV app it won't connect even though I'm on the same network, what do I do please.? Sorry about the typo in the subject I only just realised it.

The ‘Apple TV Remote’ in your control centre can only be used on the newer Apple TV 4 and 4K.

It’s the Apple TV 4 I have and it’s ok now because my Apple Watch is able to control it now. But thanks for responding
