I just realized that there's nary an IQ test on MR. I'm checking to see if Mac users are indeed brainier than their Windows counterparts.. :D

Time for one, I say. I'm just curious about where everyone fits in. And yes, I realize that different learning types, reading comprehension abilities, etc, can influence the score. (I have read comprehension difficulties, so it takes me longer to do one anyway, making my score lower they say.. drat) They also say that The Dubya's IQ is 125.

You can just take the poll rather than post, if you want (unless you feel like bragging, that is)

142 according to that test. I have scored around the same in other tests before but I don't believe that you can actually measure intelligence like this.

Clicked 121 => 130 initially, then took the test  (I am feeling dumb tonight).

Took the test scored 143. What do I ascertain with the new found iq boost? That the overscore you so you'll be more likely to give them cash (flattery never hurt no-one).

121. I guessed on a lot of them because I was too lazy to work them out.(Perhaps that's why I failed Algebra I?) But all in all, yeah, that's how smart I/ feel most of the time.:p

I love the ad on this page ...

I'm not sure about the validity of this test... should be interesting for curiosity's sake to see what happens when people report their Binet quotient... no?

Who care's about the validity ... do you really expect any online test you hear about in a forum to be valid for anything other than craps and giggles?

I didn't post mine right away because I was afraid it would too high and seem artificially inflated or something. Apparently, I'm one of the more 'dumb' MR members at 130-132, taking a couple of different ones (this and another one last year). I'm also the dumbest one in my family... oh well..

EDIT: Then again, define 'dumb.' There're different means of intelligence and not all forms can be measured on paper. Common Sense, for example, street smarts, inter-personal intelligence, etc. I think those are forms of intelligence that are just about impossible to measure.

I'm embarrassed to say my score, but this is not a very advanced or scientific test. I've taken others over the years that are more "official", including the ones recognized by Mensa International. Overall, I have more respect for someone with a good personality and a healthy dose of common sense than one who has a high IQ. I don't take any of these test results too seriously.
