So Apple is going to provide a Spotify/Pandora like service. Wow! I'm really excited about that. Can't wait!

So it seems. It will probably be similar to Google's All Access which very much combines the best of Pandora and Spotify as well as providing some additional features such as the ability to store up to 20,000 of your own songs.

This whole thing sounds stupid. Spotify is infinitely better. Who wants "iRadio". Honestly... what's the point?

How do you know Spotify is "infinitely better" if Apple's service hasn't even been announced or shown yet? All we have to go by is speculation and "rumors". Wait for the official announcement this Monday before laying down the verdict :)

Because you get access to any song you could ever want (with some exceptions).

iRadio is... wait for it... radio. Who the hell needs that? I can already get the radio for free. I can also use Pandora whenever I damn well please. Why would I sit through a bunch of iAds and be forced to listen to crap I don't want to listen to when I can fire up Spotify and listen to whatever I want?

The whole thing sounds completely idiotic and useless. Ping 2.0.

Pandora has taken a huge nosedive recently... it really wouldn't take much effort for Apple to best them. The only updates Pandora has brought to the table recently are twice as many ads and way more limitations. Skip limits are now across every channel and apparently last all day... you can switch to a different station and back again to skip a track to bypass this limitation, but you'll usually have to first wade through a 30 second commercial... and then pray it doesn't play yet another horrible song. Pandora One isn't any better, except the lack of ads. Never using Pandora again.

Finally

This makes me happy because it is probably going to be sooooo much better than the built in "radio" in itunes... Most of the stations dont even work.

Always the best companies (like Apple) need a push in the right direction, waiting for the biggest music industries.

Good to see its finally under-way. But unless its better than Pandora (and bring more impressive music and a big change), I won't be there anytime soon.

Just about every music service out at the moment is now better than Pandora...
