I'm looking for a decent IRC client that will run in Tiger. Any suggestions appreciated. Thanks.

Have you looked at Adium? It supports IRC as well as many other IM protocols.

See if you can find an older version of Colloquy. There was a universal version for Tiger I used back on my 2006 MBP.

I checked out Adium a while back and didn't like it for some reason (I don't recall why at the moment). I'll take another look at it.

I currently use Colloquy on my Intel Mac Mini running Snow Leopard. I had no idea that there was a universal version that would run in Tiger. This is probably the route I'll end up going.

I've used Xchat in Linux, but I had no idea that it had been ported to Mac. I'll check it out.

Thanks to all who replied. Much appreciated.

I used Colloquy. There is also a commercial client called Snak that was quite popular.
