IRC client suggestions

alot of the IRC clients listed in one of the guides i found in the forums are all mostly dated; can anyone either recommend one that is more recent or that they personally have been using and has been stable?

I've used Colloquy off and on for years. It it relatively up to date (an update came out within the last year or so, iirc). They also have an iOS version.

actually got updated in march. thanks. will look into it. this migration to mac is going smoother than i anticipated.

That's because IRC is dated.
