I have a new MacBook 13" with Iris 6100.

Can anybody suggest any strategy games that work in high resolution without stutter.

Cheers

If by "max resolution" you're talking the full 2560x1600, trying to run any reasonably modern game on the Iris 6100 (only the 15-inch model has Iris Pro) will be unplayable. Using the scaled 1280x800 should be fine.

I play my games in bootcamp with Windows 8.1 and then I can play Civilization V, age of empires etc on 1920x1200 without problems. Of course the fans spin up but what do you expect

Can anybody recommend strategy games for the 2015 MacBook Pro 13"?

Civ 5 runs natively, though that's the only one I can suggest off the top of my head. You should check out the Strategy/Mac section on Steam, they've got quite a selection. If you want to go old school strategy then check out the games on Gog.com, a large majority of them run fine on OS X.

Endless Legend is supposed to be quite good. Been meaning to get it myself for a while. Its a 4x turn based strategy game like civ 5, but fantasy based. It's also considered to be a lot better than civ: beyond earth. You can find it on steam.

Kings Bounty will run in osx and is really fun. its a lot like heroes of might and magic only it doesnt keep track of days like heroes does.

Homeworld and Homeworld 2 (The reboots not the original games) both work beautifully on Bootcamp Windows 10. I also play Civ 5 on Bootcamp vs Native (I have both and it's a little smoother in Windows).
The fans spool up and it gets hot.
