I am running 10.5.8 on my iMac but am having trouble syncing my iTunes purchases to my iPad 2. Do I have to upgrade to another system ?

I do not thimk so, since I have same problem, no option on iTunes summary
to turn on wifi sync, it seems it is only available on Snow and Lyon
