Are there any new bugs from 11.1.1 or battery issues or it draining faster on 11.1.2? Cause 11.1.1 is actually fine on my X and don’t want to mess anything up.

Aren't we becoming a bit paranoid?

I mean, I understand having fears for battery life and speed when doing big updates, but has such a minor update ever created any problem so far, particularly on a just released device?

You bet I am, specially since updating to 11.1.1 caused me so many problems. My moms phone completely crashing and having to upgrade her phone, and my partners phone completely turning off at 72 percent and needing to keep it charged on 11.1. Have had massive issues with iOS11 like many people here -- and I'm pretty laid back about such things because stability and battery used to not have any issues.

Updating to 11.1.1 from 11.1 caused my battery to go from 2 and a half hours at 80 percent, to less than an hour. Restoring completely to 11.1.1 from backup, I now get 2 and a half hours. And yes after reading that it was okay, I updated to 11.1.2, simple bug fix... nope. Major stability issues, lot of battery drainage started happening in a matter of a 10 percent drainage in 10 minutes just browsing safari and here, etc.

Charged my phone and it got stuck at 82 percent as well and wouldn't move, had to reboot. Things appear to be fine now after I did another restore. So yes, 1,300 dollar device -- You best bet I ask if it's okay to upgrade and have every reason to be paranoid LOL.

If anyone knew me here -- they'd be worried if I'm asking questions here. I'm only here if a serious issue is actually happening like the ones I've described. Definitely wasn't here last year asking if it was "safe" to update - iOS11 is giving everyone I know hell.

More likely X should not have shipped UNTIL iOS 11.2

Apple has a long history of premature releases. Also clean build installs are less complicated.

The problem there is that that isn't a typical experience of those updating to iOS 11.1.1 (or 11.1.2). It seems like some sort of weird install and/or device issues that certainly happen with essentially any kind of updates but are often fairly isolated. Meaning that asking most of 11.1.2 (or even 11.1.1) is "safe" would get a response that it's all good since most aren't running into this kind of things, even though that might not necessarily end up being your particular experience (seeing how 11.1.1 went for you for some reason).

My X got better, not worse.

Especially Face ID, you'll notice its a lot faster and responsive. Battery life unchanged. Still leaving for work at 7AM and arriving home at 7PM and having a ridiculous 81% battery life left. Amazing.

Update to 11.1.2 immediately. You'll be happy.

You never use you phone do you. Nobody calls or texts you? Haha

Between 7AM and 7PM I must get 40 emails, alerts going off and lighting up the screen every 10 minutes or so, I'm reading and responding. I must get 30 texts during these hours, notifications lighting up the screen, again reading and responding. I average around 2 phone calls a day, perhaps 5 minutes each, not much there, agreed. I'm on the web checking forums and/or Twitter and/or Facebook, probably a total of 1 hour throughout those working hours.

Bluetooth is 'on' all day. Connects to my car for the 90 minute round trip commute. For phone and text alerts only, no streaming. Wi-fi is never on. Don't need it, unlimited LTE where I live and work.

So....when I get home with 81% battery life left, I'm impressed. Same setup/usage with my iPhone 6 I used to arrive home with maybe 35%.

Battery life with my X has been outstanding too, my 6s would need to be recharged around 3pm daily, my X makes it through the whole day with usually 30-40% remaining.

Bigger battery coupled with the OLED screen and new CPU appears to have increased battery life by a massive margin

No corrupted my photos, turned a significant amount grey and unreadable. Photo backed up over wifi and so i cant restore. Photos are corrupt when also looking at them via icloud/online other apps. Spent a good 2 hours with Apple tech support chat being escalated to higher and higher levels.

Dont upgrade yet unless you dont care about losing random photos.

If I’d known that any time I watch a video either on the Video app or the YouTube app that control elements would randomly appear with no button or screen input from me I would have skipped 11.1.2 on my X as it wasn’t doing that before.

Yup.

The real magic of the iPhone X isn't in the screen or the gestures or Face ID. Its that the phone is marginally bigger than the iPhone 6 yet has 3x the battery life.
