So I bought a fast wireless charger from Bestbuy. It's rated at 15W...is this going to hurt the phone/battery in any way?

Thanks in advance.

I also have either a 5 or 7W wireless charger too.

On a side note, does anyone ever get the error message when charging the new Airpod Pros that one or the other airpod isn't properly sitting in the case, even though it appears to be sitting fine??

No. But your phone only supports either 5W or 7.5W charging.

"There are many Qi-certified chargers available in the market that charge an iPhone with the latest version of iOS at rates up to 7.5 watts."

So you might aswell just use a 7.5W charger, it doesn't make a difference.

I guess I’ll just keep it in case apple opens up the rate of charging in the future.
Anyone having the same issues with their AirPod Pros

As already mentioned you can use that charger but it won’t make any difference to the rate of charge.

I'm using the 15W Samsung fast wireless charger from the Note 10 plus and was wondering the same thing.

Seems to work fine though.

Nah you don’t have to worry about overcharging the phone or doing it harm. It’s perfectly safe.

I see some ill informed responses here.

The regular iPhone 11 supports fast charging.
https://www.apple.com/iphone-11/specs/

"Fast‑charge capable:
  • Up to 50% charge in 30 minutes10 with 18W adapter or higher (sold separately)
  • Built-in rechargeable lithium‑ion battery
  • Wireless charging (works with Qi chargers11)
  • Charging via USB to computer system or power adapter"

So NO, 15W isn't going to hurt it.

No bad info above, iPhone 11 supports 7.5w wireless fast charging. Wired charging has 18w fast charging capability.. 15w wireless charger won’t hurt the phone, it will only charge at 7.5v...

You stated some responses were ill informed... Who exactly gave wrong info? I never said anything about your advice except your statement about others info offered to the OP

Which is why I admitted my response was ill informed which meant that the responses here were not.
